Acceptable Use Policy

1. Spirit

LMS Bridge is built to help instructors do their teaching work — design courses, create assessments, grade student work, run outcome reports. Use the Service the way you would expect a professional colleague to use it.

2. What you may not do

• Submit student data you are not authorized to access. Use only Canvas tokens generated under your own account, for courses you teach, where your institution's policies allow vendor processing of student data. If your institution requires a formal Data Use Agreement before vendor processing, do not connect Canvas until that is in place.
• Use the Service to evade academic integrity. Do not have the Service generate student work product for submission to another course. Do not use it to circumvent plagiarism, AI-use, or proctoring policies of your institution or of courses you are enrolled in.
• Publish AI-generated content without review. Educational judgment remains yours. Review AI-generated lecture material, assessment items, narratives, and grading recommendations before publishing to students.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to bypass rate limits, authentication, or access controls.
• Resell, sublicense, or provide Service access to third parties without our written consent. Sharing your account with another instructor is not permitted; have them sign up under their own account.
• Use the Service to discriminate against students or applicants on the basis of protected characteristics. Outcomes data, gradebook data, and AI outputs are tools — using them in violation of anti-discrimination laws or institutional Title IX, FERPA, or ADA obligations is prohibited.
• Upload malware, phishing content, or material that violates third-party rights, including copyrighted works for which you do not hold the rights or a valid teaching exception.

3. What we expect you to do

• Keep your password and Canvas access tokens confidential.
• Notify us promptly of any suspected unauthorized access to your account.
• Follow your institution's policies on educational technology, vendor onboarding, and data handling — including any FERPA designation requirements.
• Initiate a Data Use Agreement conversation with your institution's data governance office if your usage expands beyond your own individual pedagogical use (e.g., department-wide adoption, sharing reports across instructors, or using Service outputs in administrative decisions).

4. Enforcement

Violation of this Policy may result in suspension or termination of your account, with notice where practical. Repeated or willful violations may be reported to your institution and, where applicable, to law enforcement.
